Interrupting Bias with Inclusive Leadership
It is largely understood that bias, whether conscious or unconscious, is ever present in our world view. But now that we have identified this universal aspect of human perspective, how can we learn to identify and disrupt bias in ourselves and others to ensure that it doesn’t result in exclusionary practices. In this interactive session, learners will be introduced to the concepts of “otherness” and microaggressions, and through group case studies, they will learn and practise research-based behaviours that drive inclusion (EACH—Empowerment, Accountability, Courage and Humility) in order to interrupt bias acts and create an inclusive workplace environment.
